Lysine reduces the incidence and severity of feline herpes in cats and kittens. This infectious disease can cause discomfort and pain in cats of all ages. Optixcare L-Lysine Chews are a nutritional supplement that reduce the severity and frequency of eye infections, or conjunctivitis, associated with feline herpes. Optixcare L-Lysine Chews are tasty, bite-size, easy to give soft chews. Palatability testing completed by an independent company showed that 83% of cats willingly eat Optixcare L-Lysine Chews. Each chew contains 500mg of lysine that is recommended by experts for best results.



Directions & Dosage



Cats can have one or two chews daily. Kittens should have a half or one chew daily, or as often as recommended by your veterinarian. Store in a cool, dry place. Keep Optixcare L-Lysine Chews out of reach of children and other pets. In case of accidental overdose seek medical attention. Optixcare L-Lysine Chews are not intended for use in livestock.

Ingredients include: Poultry Meal, L-Lysine HCL, Water, Sorbitol, Glycerin, Rice Starch, Soy Lecithin, Dried Pork Digest (Flavoring), Glucose Syrup, Salt, Perservatives: Potassium Sorbate, Ascorbic Acid, BHA, Citric Acid, Propyl Gallate, Ammonium Propionate, Propionic Acid, Phosphoric Acid, Sorbic Acid, Lactic Acid, and Propyl Phydroxybenzoate.

    We will be giving our cat lysine chews for the rest of his life but it is worth buying to keep him healthy. We hide it in his food twice a day and that takes care of that.

    Our cat has been on the Flixeril Lysine-L gel in a pump for at least a year.. Only because she is an extremely easy girl, sweet and trusting, are we able to medicate her. She hated the gel but needed two pumps twice daily. She is crazy about these Lysine chews. She is quite a small cat so I have to dice these up daily and to her it is like a bowl of treats. Her specialist recommended these and I have passed on the info to our regular Vet, who was very pleased to know of them. Also, I have already noticed that after only a few days, she has perked up and has had no sneezing or nasal discharge. Excellent product!

    I received my product on time. The Lysine has stopped the eye leakage and has brought my kitty back to his old self. He loves the way they taste and I never have had any problem giving them to him.

    just recieved it. my cat like it so far, i hope it will help her with he condition....she has asthma and is very fragile...she's just been hospitalised for 2 days for a severe cough...

    Our cat is fairly big, around 15 pounds. He had no problem with the size of the nugget. He gobbled it up like it was a treat. No problems with the product. We will be buying these for the rest of his life.
